19 August 2026 – The Executive Director of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund(JREEEF), Rasmi Hamza, received the solar water heating systems project at the White Family Association – Elderly Care Home, with a storage capacity of 5,000 liters. The project is part of efforts to support the transition towards clean energy and enhance energy efficiency in social care institutions.

The project contributes to reducing the facility’s electricity bill by more than 70%, equivalent to approximately JOD 27,000 annually, in addition to avoiding approximately 98 tons of carbon emissions annually and providing hot water efficiently and continuously throughout the year.

The project comes as a continuation of the Fund’s support to the Association, following the installation of a 90 kW solar photovoltaic system for electricity generation in 2018, which contributed to annual savings of approximately JOD 14,000 on the electricity bill.

The project works included preventive and corrective maintenance, a five-year warranty, as well as training for technical staff to ensure the system’s sustainability and operational efficiency.

The project reflects the efforts of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund to support social care institutions in Jordan in adopting clean energy solutions, achieving economic savings and sustainable environmental impact.
