August 27, 2026 - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources organized an internal training course titled "The Writing Skills of Technical Report and Official Correspondence," supervised and presented by Engineer Ola Abu Hanieh and Ms. Hanadi Al-Jallad. The course aimed to develop the skills of ministry employees and enhance their scientific and practical abilities in preparing technical reports and administrative correspondence according to clear professional standards and criteria.
The course covered the concept of technical reports and correspondence and their importance in the work environment, the components of a report, and the principles of its preparation and drafting. It also introduced the types of administrative correspondence and the principles of writing and organizing them.
The course focused on skills in selecting relevant information, organizing and sequencing ideas, and formulating content clearly, accurately, and concisely. This contributes to improving the quality of reports and correspondence and enhancing the effectiveness of administrative and technical communication within the ministry.
The course included practical applications and training exercises on preparing and drafting reports and correspondence, reviewing practical templates, identifying common errors and how to correct them, and practical applications and tests at the end of the course to assess the participants' understanding and their ability to apply the acquired skills in the workplace.
This course is part of a series of specialized knowledge transfer workshops presented by the Ministry's team of experts, within the framework of the tacit knowledge transfer project implemented by the Ministry's Knowledge Management and Innovation Department. The project aims to leverage the accumulated expertise and skills of Ministry employees and transfer them to colleagues, thereby supporting the development of institutional performance and fostering a culture of learning and knowledge exchange.
