14 May 2026 - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources organized, today, Thursday, the Officer Course (15) held by the command of the Institute of Administration and Logistics Training at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (the Arab Army), during which it reviewed the most prominent tasks, achievements, and future plans of the ministry, in the presence of a number of officers of the Jordan Armed Forces.
The Director of the Human Resources and Institutional Development Directorate at the ministry, Dafi Al-Awaida, emphasized the importance of the role undertaken by the ministry in managing and organizing the energy and mineral resources sectors, indicating the importance of the legislation regulating this vital sector and its role in enhancing integration and coordination among various state institutions in a manner that serves national interests.
For his part, the Director of the Geology and Mining Directorate, Engineer Hisham Ziyoud, reviewed the most prominent achievements realized in the mining sector, stressing the importance of this sector in supporting the national economy and achieving the targets of the Economic Modernization Vision. The Director of the Internal Control Unit at the ministry, Abdulhalim Abu Shreia, also explained the regulatory procedures and policies adopted in the ministry and the mechanisms for their implementation in accordance with the legislation and systems regulating work.
The Head of the Strategic Planning Section at the Planning and International Cooperation Directorate, Engineer Basma Al-Shatti, presented a presentation on the National Strategy for the Energy Sector for the years (2025–2035), covering the most prominent projects and policies related to the development of the sector during the upcoming phase.
The lecture witnessed a review of the ministry's tasks and responsibilities, in addition to the most prominent programs and projects it implements in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency, and efforts to develop the mining sector.
