Amman – May 11, 2026 – The Data Unit at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) organized a specialized training workshop entitled:
“Data Management Excellence for Government Executive Workshop: From Governance to Automation within the DAMA Framework”
The workshop was held as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital maturity and promote a culture that recognizes data as a strategic asset supporting informed decision-making processes.
The workshop was organized in cooperation with Synist Middle East, a Jordanian company specializing in information technology solutions, in support of the MEMR’s efforts to strengthen institutional capabilities in the field of data management. The workshop was delivered by trainer Tareq Atwan.
The workshop aims to equip MEMR staff with the knowledge and skills required to understand and apply international best practices in data management in accordance with the DAMA-DMBOK Framework. This contributes to building an integrated, organized, scalable, and implementable data ecosystem while enhancing data governance and data quality, ultimately transforming data into added value that supports institutional decision-making.
The three-day workshop, conducted over four hours daily, covers several specialized topics, including data governance, data quality management, master data management, metadata management, and practical applications for assessing data management maturity and developing improvement and enhancement roadmaps.
The workshop forms part of the MEMR’s plans to improve data utilization efficiency, strengthen system integration, and support its institutional digital transformation journey in line with international standards and best practices.
