Al-Azzam Sponsors “Harvest of Achievements and Future Outlook 2025” Event for RENEW MENA Network

Al-Azzam: Women’s Empowerment in the Energy Sector Is a Priority, and RENEW MENA Is a Successful Model

22 January 2026 – On behalf of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, member of the Higher Steering Committee, and Head of the Jordan Chapter of the RENEW MENA Network, Eng. Amani Al-Azzam, on Thursday sponsored the “Harvest of Achievements and Future Outlook 2025” event, organized by the network in cooperation with the World Bank.

In her keynote address, Al-Azzam said that today’s event, which showcases the achievements and successes of the network, is highly significant as it brings together partners from public and private sector institutions, as well as the academic sector and schools.

She added that Jordan takes pride in the fact that the national chapter of the network now includes 32 active partners who play a major role in supporting women working in the energy sector and empowering them to assume leadership positions in their workplaces.

Al-Azzam noted that the network looks forward to achieving greater accomplishments in 2026 and expanding into other sectors such as water and the environment, extending her sincere thanks to all partners for their efforts.

For her part, the RENEW MENA Network Lead, Eng. Yusra Assaker, praised the strong support the network receives from senior management at the highest levels, noting that this support has had a significant impact on achieving its successes.

Assaker explained that the event brings partners together to review the achievements made in 2025, adding that the past year was distinguished and rich in successes. She expressed her appreciation to all partners and supporters from various entities.

She added that 2026 will be a year of building on these achievements, following the development of a number of plans and programs that will be implemented to reach a larger number of women, particularly those residing in remote governorates.

On the sidelines of the event, the patron honored a number of institutions that played a key role in supporting and advancing the work and activities of the RENEW MENA Network – Jordan Chapter during the past year.
