Laboratories Directorate

  Main Tasks :

1. Conduct organic, inorganic, mineral, and physical analyses for the Ministry’s exploration projects on mineral ores, rocks, soils, and water.
2. Carry out studies and research required for processing mineral ores and improving their quality to meet industrial applications.
3. Determine the physical and mechanical properties of soils, rocks, aggregates, and sand.
4. Provide laboratory services to the public and private sectors, as well as to scientific and research institutions, and participate in laboratory testing.
5. Implement the Jordanian Accreditation System (ISO/IEC 17025) in all administrative and technical aspects, including audits, verification tests, and proficiency testing.
6. Train engineers, geologists, and related specialists on laboratory tests and analyses.
