9 July 2026 – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, chaired today (Thursday) the regular meeting of the Energy and Mining Sectors' Liaison Officers to review progress reports related to the Second Executive Program (2026–2029) of the Economic Modernization Vision and assess the implementation rates achieved in both sectors through the end of June 2026.
Dr. Al-Kharabsheh called for intensified efforts and sustained implementation to achieve the Vision's objectives, particularly in expanding the use of clean energy, improving the efficiency of the electricity system, reducing energy costs, and strengthening the principles of environmental sustainability.
During the meeting, the Minister underscored the importance of adhering to the targets of the Second Executive Program (2026–2029) of the Economic Modernization Vision and maintaining continuous coordination with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the required tasks are completed within the specified timelines.
He further noted that the energy and mining sectors constitute a fundamental pillar in strengthening the national economy and enabling the growth of all economic sectors. He also commended the private sector's partnership in implementing the Vision's projects and its contribution to supporting economic growth and achieving sustainable development.
