September 5, 2024 - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Chairman of the National Committee for Green Hydrogen, chaired a meeting today, Thursday, to discuss the recommendations of the study to determine the joint infrastructure for green hydrogen projects in Jordan, as the first task of the study, where the advisor reviewed the study recommendations, which are represented in preparing an action plan to develop the Green Hydrogen Industrial Complex (Green Hydrogen Hub) and preparing a plan to improve the required infrastructure outside the complex site.

The recommendations of the study prepared by (ILF) company in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) come based on meetings held by the advisor with most potential developers of green hydrogen in Jordan and discussing their projects and discussing their visions and infrastructure needs.

The workshop was attended by members of the National Committee for Green Hydrogen, the Secretaries-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Director-General of the National Electric Power Company and a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission and number of representatives from the relevant ministries and institutions.
