
July 21, 2024-The Jordanian seismological observatory, affiliated with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, recorded an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale south of the Dead Sea/south of Ma'in.
The head of the Seismological Observatory Engineer Ghassan Sweidan, stated today, Sunday, that the earthquake recorded at 11:15 p.m. occurred at a depth of 9 km and is considered one of the weak felt earthquakes, not affecting the infrastructure and was felt by residents of some areas in Karak Governorate.
