October 14, 2025 – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources held awareness lectures for 10th-grade students at the Ahliyyah School and the Mutran’s School, addressing concepts and types of renewable energy. The lectures come as part of the Ministry’s initiative to promote awareness of energy issues among school students across the Kingdom’s governorates.

The lecture was delivered by Eng. Arwa Abukashef from the Directorate of Energy Transition, who presented the fundamentals of the shift toward renewable energy use, ongoing energy projects in Jordan, available investment opportunities in the sector as published on the Ministry’s website, as well as the challenges facing renewable energy projects and potential storage solutions.

The lecture was conducted in two sessions with the participation of 120 10th-grade students from the Ahliyyah School for Girls and the Mutran’s School for Boys. The discussions and interactions demonstrated active engagement from the students, which positively enriched their knowledge of various energy topics.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources continues to implement its awareness programs in schools, reaffirming its role in promoting a culture of optimal energy use and advancing the transition toward sustainable energy sources.
