Introduction:

Construction of the Amman Strategic Facilities began in August 2015 by a coalition consisting of the Jordanian company "Middle East for Contracting" and the Spanish company (OHL) and supervised by the German company (ILF Consulting Engineers). The facilities were built using the latest technologies and globally recognized systems in the oil and gas industry."

Project Objective:

To secure the necessary storage capacities to maintain a strategic stock of oil derivatives for the Kingdom and to enhance the Kingdom's strategic stock of oil derivatives.

Project Cost and Funding Source:

The project cost (150) million dinars, funded by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund / Gulf Grant

Project Components:

• (6) Six tanks for diesel with a capacity of (31) thousand cubic meters each and a total capacity of (186) thousand cubic meters.

• (4) four tanks for gasoline (90) with a capacity of (31) thousand cubic meters each and a total capacity of (124) thousand cubic meters.

• Two tanks for gasoline (95) with a capacity of (16) thousand cubic meters each and a total capacity of (32) thousand cubic meters.

• Two tanks for jet fuel with a capacity of (20) thousand cubic meters each and a total capacity of (40) thousand cubic meters.

• (5) Five tanks for LPG with a capacity of (1.8) thousand tons each and a total capacity of (9) thousand tons.

• Firefighting systems consisting of firefightingwater tanks, pumps, pipes, foam system and alarm system.

• The auxiliary systems necessary for the operation of the project / facility include pumps, control rooms, electrical rooms, pipes, valves and others.

• Truck loading and unloading platforms.

• Safety and fire extinguishing systems.

• "An oil-water separation system and a treatment system for it."

• All necessary equipment for the management and service of the project
