Amman, November 9

(Petra) Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh said that the results of a study on exploration operations in the Risha field will be announced in detail and figures within two weeks.
Minister Kharabsheh said in a press statement today that the government has hired Schlumberger International to study the AL-Risha gas field based on information from the 3D seismic survey conducted by British Petroleum.
He pointed out that the study is nearing completion and includes indicative estimates of gas reserves within the classifications (high, low, and medium), noting that the medium estimate is usually used as the best estimate.
Kharabsheh explained that any information related to exploration, drilling, quantities, and extraction operations is complex and subject to costs and requires extensive explanations and deliberation before issuing judgments and results, explaining that citizens will be shared with the available information once the study is completed in its final form within two weeks.
