September 22, 2025 – Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, today received Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Karim Badawi, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Amman. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation frameworks between Jordan and Egypt across various energy fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to expand collaboration in energy projects, particularly in natural gas and renewable energy. They emphasized the importance of exchanging technical and technological expertise to enhance energy security and serve the mutual interests of both brotherly countries.
Last August, the two ministers visited the floating storage and regasification unit Energos Force in Aqaba Governorate, where they were briefed on its operations and the role it plays in supporting national and regional energy security.
This visit comes within the framework of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and in the context of ongoing coordination between the two countries on issues of common interest, particularly in the vital energy sector.
