The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources holds a workshop titled "She Leads: From Narratives to Solutions" as part of the Jordanian-German partnership programs.

July 28, 2025 - The Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources held a workshop today, Monday, within the framework of the Jordanian-German partnership in the field of energy. The workshop, organized by the German Energy Agency (DENA), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), and in cooperation with the EDAMA Association for Energy, Water, and Environment, was titled "She Leads: From Stories to Formulating Solutions."

Rasha Abu Marar, head of the Women's Empowerment Team at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, welcomed the participants, emphasizing that the workshop aims to discuss mechanisms for breaking the deadlock among some women, allowing them to discuss the challenges they faced in the workplace without revealing their identities.

Abu Marar said the ministry is a model for women's empowerment, noting that it has 16 organizational units, eight of which are headed by women, in addition to a woman holding the position of Secretary-General of the ministry, in addition to important supervisory positions. She added that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is a source of inspiration for government and private institutions in empowering and supporting women.

She emphasized that women have reached these positions with competence, competence, and excellence, and that they are the best, noting that this motivates all women to give their best to achieve their desired goals.

For her part, Boudiaf Berdice from the German Energy Agency (DENA) emphasized the importance of women's empowerment and emphasized the Jordanian-German partnership's interest in supporting women in the energy sector, thanking the team from the Ministry of Energy and the EDAMA Association.

The first session of the workshop included a review of the main challenges, reviewing the challenges raised by participants in the previous workshop.

In the second session, participants formed working groups to categorize these challenges into a clear format, to begin discussing them and finding radical solutions for them in the subsequent workshop.
