Increase in the prices of gasoline (90 and 95) and diesel for next March

February 29, 2024 - Today, Thursday, the Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting to determine the selling prices of petroleum derivatives locally for the period from (next March 1-31).

The committee reviewed the international prices of crude oil and petroleum derivatives during the month of February and compared them to those of last January.

After applying the price equation according to international prices on all petroleum derivatives, it was found that the price of gasoline 90 increased by (20) fils/liter and the price of gasoline 95 increased by (20) fils/liter, in addition to an increase in the price of diesel by (20) fils/liter.

Accordingly, the Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee decided to raise the selling price of 90 octane gasoline to (930) fils/liter instead of (910) fils/liter, and to raise the selling price of 95 octane gasoline to (1170) fils/liter instead of (1150) fils/liter. The price of diesel was raised to (740) fils/liter instead of (720) fils/liter.

The committee also decided to set the price of kerosene for next March at 620 fils/litre, and to keep the price of a domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at 7 dinars/cylinder.
