March 20, 2024 - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources held an awareness workshop for employees of the Jordanian Petroleum Products Marketing Company/Jopetrol, on methods of rationalizing energy consumption, presented by engineer Arwa AbuKashif from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Directorate in the Ministry. AbuKashif discussed the basics of energy conservation in the workplace and home, and the role of the individual in adopting behaviors that rationalize consumption. AbuKashif reviewed the services provided by the Ministry through the Renewable Energy Fund for the household sector by installing solar PV systems and solar water heaters, subsidized by 30%. The workshop concluded by asking questions and answering them in a variety of topics, including showing awareness videos and explaining the energy efficiency label and its importance when purchasing electrical appliances.
