Amman, March 18, 2024 - Today, Monday, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources held an awareness lecture for its employees entitled (Welcome, blessing Ramadan) on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kasasbeh, Director of Research and Islamic Studies in the Jordanian General Fatwa Department.

Al-Kasasbeh began the lecture by talking about the virtues of the Holy Month, considering it an opportunity for a Muslim to erase bad deeds, obtain forgiveness, be freed from Hell, and enter Paradise, noting that these virtues make a person aware of the greatness and status of the month, and the value of work for the sake of God Almighty. Al-Kasasbeh called on employees to invest time and seize the holy month, and to be careful to complete citizens’ transactions and deal well with visitors, stressing that a Muslim must strive to do good deeds and exploit the month in acts of obedience and worship in order to attain these virtues.

 Al-Kasasbeh stressed that a Muslim must know and understand the legal rulings on fasting by calling the General Fatwa Department and inquiring about the legal rulings, or by reviewing studies and documents related to fasting that are produced by the General Fatwa Department and available to the public.

At the end of the meeting, Al-Kasasbeh answered the audience’s inquiries about the provisions of fasting, zakat, and issues related to the holy month.
