• Increase the handling capacity of the port to 15 million tons per year from 8 million tons per year for oil and petroleum products.

• Develop the existing oil port to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of unloading oil and petroleum product vessels.

• Reduce the waiting time for ships in the port.

• Accommodate a larger number of vessels to meet the increasing demand for petroleum products.

• Ensuring the management of the port within the best standards of Public Safety.

• Project Components:

• Pumps for transferring crude oil and petroleum products to increase discharge rates.

• Rehabilitation of loading arms and addition of specialized arms for handling crude oil and petroleum products with greater efficiency.

• Installation of pipelines for transporting oil and petroleum products.
