Public Announcement Calls for Expersion of Interest in exploring the potential of conventional and/or unconventional oil and gas

The Government of Jordan (GoJ), through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) is interested in exploring the potential of conventional and/or unconventional oil and gas in six open exploration blocks in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan ( Sirhan, Azraq, West Safawi, Northern Highlands, Jafr and Dead Sea).

Therefore, the Government wishes to invite qualified Oil and Gas companies/consortiums for exploring oil and gas (the conventional and/or unconventional) resources in the open exploration contract areas.

Companies can submit their interest through email to: [generals@memr.gov.jo]

The subject of the said email shall be: “Jordan MEMR - Oil and Gas Exploration EOI”

The email shall include a short profile of the company with Company name, Headquarters address, website and Contact person details.

The deadline for receiving the expression of interest email shall be before [31/1/2018 at 3:00 pm] Amman time.

Qualified companies/consortiums will be invited to receive further tender documents in order to prepare and submit their exploration work plan to be evaluated by MEMR. Only companies with approved work plans will be eligible to sign a Memorandum of Understanding “MOU” or/and a Production Sharing Agreement”PSA”.

Selected companies/consortium will receive the EOI package for further requirements and official procedures.

The MEMR has the right to cancel the tender without bearing any financial or legal obligations.
