April 23, 2024 - The Natural Resources Projects Directorate in the Ministry, in cooperation with the Social Responsibility Committee, organized a scientific trip for employees to the experimental oil shale mining areas in the Al-Lajun and Al-Sultani regions in Karak Governorate.

The trip comes within the ministry's plan to implement a series of scientific trips for its projects implemented in various regions of the Kingdom, such as oil projects, mineral resources, and energy sector projects, according to the head of the committee, director of natural resources projects in the ministry, geologist Bahjat Al-Adwan.

Al-Adwan added that organizing the trip came in response to the directives of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, and the Secretary-General, Engineer Amani Al-Azzam, on the importance of informing employees of the Ministry’s work at project sites.

The trip included a meeting between the staff and school students in the Lajoun area, and concluded with a visit to Karak Castle and introducing the participants to its historical importance.
